Season Ticket Holder of the Game

Peter McCook

The McCooks moved to Dallas in 1966, and immediately became life-long Cowboys fans. Daniel, Judy, and their two boys, Peter and Charlie, never missed a game. In those days, the Cowboys played at Fair Park.

Peter continued attending as a season ticket holder for 60 years, from 1966 until his passing in February 2026. He instilled in his 4 children, Meredith, Megan, Russell and David, as well as in his wife Debra, a love for football and the Dallas Cowboys, which remains toda

Peter’s all time favorite Cowboy was Roger Staubach. Imagine his delight when a year ago Peter and David had field passes, and when they alighted from the elevator, who greeted them but Roger! He said, “Hello, friend!” which certainly made Peter’s day.

The last 5 years of Peter’s life, he was confined to a wheelchair. But this didn’t keep him from attending games. Although he could no longer access the family’s seats in the club section, the Cowboys organization was kind to set up a table for him directly above our section. We are so grateful for the VIP treatment provided to him so that he could continue to attend.

Peter left a legacy of love for the Cowboys to his children and future generations of the McCook family.
